Calabasas, CA (January 28, 2026) - Storyteller Talent Agency announced that client Shelby Nicole signed a four-book deal with Delacorte Press, an imprint of Random House Children's Books at Penguin Random House. The acquisition, for world rights, includes print, digital, and audiobook formats.
The Grove Hollow series opens with Metamorphosis, a gothic YA romance set in 1985 and built around a haunting private school, a crumbling mansion, a cursed family legacy, a ghostly love interest, and a swoon-worthy human rival. The series blends the nostalgic intensity of 1980s-set supernatural storytelling with dark academia, paranormal romance, and coming-of-age mystery.
The deal was negotiated by Kayla Bramante at Storyteller Talent Agency with Krista Marino, VP and Associate Publisher at Delacorte Press, who will co-edit the series with Lydia Gregovic.
Shelby Nicole built a dedicated readership before the Big Five acquisition, with the self-published edition of Metamorphosis selling thousands of copies and establishing Grove Hollow as a breakout gothic YA property.
