Commission and Agency Model Clarification

Storyteller Talent Agency is a boutique literary agency. Literary representation is selective and is offered only through a written agency agreement.

Storyteller Talent Agency does not charge reading fees, submission fees, application fees, paid consideration fees, retainers, or upfront representation fees. Authors do not need to purchase any product or service to query the agency or to be considered for representation.

For represented clients, Storyteller Talent Agency earns commission only when represented work earns from rights deals, advances, royalties, licensing, or other covered income under the written agency agreement. Standard commission terms are addressed in the agency agreement.

Query decisions are based on agent interest, market fit, project readiness, author career considerations, and the agency's ability to advocate effectively for the work. Publishing is subjective, and a pass from one agent does not necessarily reflect the quality or future potential of an author's writing.

Storyteller Talent Agency remains committed to ethical literary agency practices, transparent representation terms, and clear separation between agency consideration and any outside education or author-support offerings.
